Frequently asked questions

Do I need a credit card for the Free plan?

No. Free gives you 5 GB of storage, password-protected links, and 30-day file retention with no credit card and no time limit. It's a real plan, not a trial.

What happens to my files after 30 days on the Free plan?

They're automatically deleted, along with any share links pointing to them. Move to Pro before then if a file needs to stick around longer.

Can I password-protect a link or limit downloads without upgrading?

Yes, password protection, expiry dates, and download caps (including self-destruct after the first download) are all on the Free plan. Pro adds custom vanity links, more storage, and larger file limits, not extra sharing controls.

What happens to my files if I cancel Pro?

You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. Files you already uploaded while on Pro keep their no-expiry status; only files uploaded after you're back on Free follow the 30-day window. If you're over the Free plan's 5 GB limit, new uploads pause until you free up space or resubscribe.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?

Yes, anytime from the billing portal. Switching to yearly saves 42% compared to paying monthly.

Do I need an account to send a file?

No. Drop a file on the homepage and get a link back immediately, no signup required. Guest uploads are capped at 1 GB and kept for 1 day; sign up free for 5 GB and 30-day retention, or go Pro for 100 GB with no expiry.

Is my data secure?

Every file is stored on Bunny's CDN infrastructure, and every share link can be password-protected, capped by download count, and set to expire automatically. You control exactly how long a link stays alive and who can use it.
